The Executive Staff House at BISU Bingag Campus in Dauis, Bohol, was officially turned over in a momentous ceremony on May 21, 2025. The event was graced by University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, along with Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Arceli M. Hernando, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Zina D. Sayson, BISU Main Campus Director Dr. Samuel J. Gulayan, esteemed system officials, and distinguished guests.

BILAR, BOHOL — Bohol Island State University (BISU) Bilar Campus conducted the turnover and blessing ceremony for its newly completed Student Services Center, along with several other facilities on May 13, 2025. The activity opened with a Holy Mass at 9:00 AM at the school gymnasium, attended by university officials, faculty, staff, and students.

The workshop shifted to hands‑on test‑item analysis. Resource persons demonstrated systematic checks for validity, discrimination, and reliability. Participants examined question stems, distractors, and scoring guides with the guidance of Dr. Reston. Team representatives also presented their work examples of doing item analysis, either manually or aided by software.

The Bohol Island State University (BISU), in its effort at promoting innovation and social enterprise in partnership with Bohol Dairy Cooperative, launched the moringa waffle ice cream cone in a fitting ceremony on April 4, 2025 at the Island City Mall Activity Center, Tagbilaran City.

Under the auspices of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the 2-Day Training-Workshop on Course Syllabus Alignment and Questionnaire Item-Analysis commenced with a gathering of esteemed educators from the College of Teacher Education, College of Business and Management, and College of Technology.

TAGBILARAN CITY — The Tourism Management Department of Bohol Island State University – Main Campus (BISU-MC) mounted a successful one-day Tourism and Hospitality Showdown on March 26, 2025, featuring a full slate of competitions aimed at showcasing students’ technical competence and industry readiness.

The Surveillance team, comprised of Ms. Philura Hipe, Ms. Jogina Mendiola, and Ms. Jean Laguitao as lead auditor, epitomized integrity at par with TUV Rheinland’s Standards.

City – In a concerted effort to address pressing infrastructure challenges and foster academic excellence, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of BISU Main Campus held a transformative workshop on November 13, 2024, at JJ’s Seafood Village, Tagbilaran City. Titled “Mastering the Art of Grant Writing and Journal Editing: A Comprehensive Workshop for the Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences,” the event brought together faculty members to hone their skills in securing grants and publishing scholarly work.

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) deans from various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Province of Bohol shared their views and experiences on challenges facing teachers in Bohol in a Key Informant Interview (KII) session with the EDCOM 2 – The Second Congressional Commission on Education at Bohol Island State University (BISU), Tagbilaran City.

The beaming smiles of proud parents and loved ones outshined the rains of the second day of the 91st Commencement Exercises of Bohol Island State University, as our 746 graduates coming from the School of Advanced Studies (SAS), College of Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design (CEIAD), and College of Teacher Education (CTE) marched into the Bohol Wisdom School Gymnasium in Tagbilaran City.
