TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL – On a day dedicated to celebrating Bohol’s rich history and the people who continue to shape its future, two Boholanos from Bohol Island State University (BISU) stood among the province’s finest as recipients of the prestigious Governor’s Excellence Awards during the 172nd Bohol Day Celebration on July 22, 2026, at the Bohol Cultural Center.

Bohol Island State University proudly secures the 322nd spot in the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities 2026 by the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) – a significant leap from its 398th rank in 2025.

BISU proudly ranked 5th among top-performing schools with a 74.63% national percentage—50 out of 67 takers passed in the March 2026 Licensure Examination.
