“Our achievements are not ours alone,” said Atty. Juan Paolo S. Aranas, MPA, the recognition speaker for the first day of the commencement, who also gave praise to the parents and families for supporting the graduates in their college journey. “It was never a solo victory. Behind every success are people who quietly supported us.”
Brian Poe Llamanzares, PhD, MNSA, led the second day of the 92nd Commencement Exercises of Bohol Island State University Main Campus with this commencement address to prepare the graduates for the complex and dynamic world ahead.
Llamanzares, representative-elect of the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist, challenged the graduates to “lead with empathy, think critically, [and] rise with dignity.” He adds: “Ang tunay na tao ay lumalaban para sa tama.”
University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso conferred 1073 graduates their respective degrees, with 536 graduates from the College of Technology, 428 from the College of Business and Management, and 109 from the College of Arts and Sciences, presented by Campus Director Dr. Samuel J. Gulayan. This brings the total number of BISU Main Campus graduates this year to a mighty 2113.
“It is now your turn to leave a positive legacy—pamana to your family, to your community, to your institution, to our country.”

The first day of the 92nd Commencement Exercises saw a total 1040 graduates claim their hard-earned diplomas: 531 from the College of Teacher Education, 415 from the College of Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design, and 94 from the School of Advanced Studies.
In his final President’s Charge for the Class of 2025 of Bohol Island State University Main Campus, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, University President of Bohol Island State University, challenged all the graduates of the Main Campus to “see KADAUGAN, your victory, differently.”
