In a powerful convergence of psychological practice and the arts, two psychology instructors from Bohol Island State University (BISU) took part in the 15th Psychology Regional Forum hosted by the Department of Psychology at Silliman University in Dumaguete City from May 13 to 15, 2025. Bohol Island State University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso bestows to the graduates of BISU Clarin, Class of Year 2025, their final challenge before leaving the confines of the state university.
Dr. Penaso then offered his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, commanding the fresh grads to step forward with confidence.

Hon. Angel Enriquez: The Harder Your Experience, The Sweeter Are Your Victories

In her speech, Dir. Enriquez reminds the enthused graduates of the importance of perseverance. “It is not just the results that matter, but your experiences and strides that set the scene for the results,” she says.

“And the harder your experiences and strides are, the sweeter are your victories.”

She challenges them to not let the realities and hardships of life stop them from dreaming.

Ms. Thea Claire M. Tagupa, cum laude graduate of BSEd-Math, commends the rest of BISU Clarin’s graduating class of 2025 for their resilience, them being all part of a generation that grew up surviving natural calamities and a global pandemic, from 2009’s Ondoy Typhoon, to the 2013 Bohol Earthquake, the COVID-19 pandemic, and 2021’s Odette.

𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 from the Bohol Island State University Main Campus (BISU MC) presented their papers in the 4th Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) CBA Business Research Conference held last May 31, at the NORSU Main Campus, Dumaguete City.
This year’s research conference is themed, “The Future of Business: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Opportunities,”.

BISU Civil Engineers Soar High in April 2025 Licensure Exam

Two civil engineering graduates from Bohol Island State University – Main Campus aced the recent Civil Engineers Licensure Examinations last April 2025. Engr. Irah Angellie B. Doroy secured the 8th place with a rating of 91.55%, while Engr. Kevin Jeade R. Campeceño earned the 9th place with a rating of 91.30%.
