In a powerful convergence of psychological practice and the arts, two psychology instructors from Bohol Island State University (BISU) took part in the 15th Psychology Regional Forum hosted by the Department of Psychology at Silliman University in Dumaguete City from May 13 to 15, 2025. Centered on the theme “𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒄,”

Bohol Island State University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso bestows to the graduates of BISU Clarin, Class of Year 2025, their final challenge before leaving the confines of the state university.
Dr. Penaso then offered his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, commanding the fresh grads to step forward with confidence.

In her speech, Dir. Enriquez reminds the enthused graduates of the importance of perseverance. “It is not just the results that matter, but your experiences and strides that set the scene for the results,” she says.

“And the harder your experiences and strides are, the sweeter are your victories.”

She challenges them to not let the realities and hardships of life stop them from dreaming.

“𝐖𝐄’𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐑, 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑, 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑.”

Ms. Thea Claire M. Tagupa, cum laude graduate of BSEd-Math, commends the rest of BISU Clarin’s graduating class of 2025 for their resilience, them being all part of a generation that grew up surviving natural calamities and a global pandemic, from 2009’s Ondoy Typhoon, to the 2013 Bohol Earthquake, the COVID-19 pandemic, and 2021’s Odette.

“You’re all sitting here as graduates because…you have challenged yourself and you have proved your worth.”

This is the message of Police Captain Carljobel P. Lofranco, chief of police of the municipality of Mabini, province of Bohol in his recognition address to the candidates for graduation of Bohol Island State University Clarin Campus.

𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 from the Bohol Island State University Main Campus (BISU MC) presented their papers in the 4th Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) CBA Business Research Conference held last May 31, at the NORSU Main Campus, Dumaguete City.
This year’s research conference is themed, “The Future of Business: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Opportunities,”.

The College of Arts and Sciences of Bohol Island State University (BISU) Main Campus proudly participated in the CSSPEX 2025: Extramural Training Seminar for Social Science Teachers, held from April 24 to 26, 2025, at the Pilar Herrera Hall, Palma Hall, UP Diliman. Representing the university were College Dean Dr. Bernabe M. Mijares, Jr., along with faculty members Mr. Erven M. Noval and Mr. Michael O. Orimaco.

The summit brings together esteemed universities from across Asia to exchange knowledge, drive innovation, and shape the future of higher education.

Officials from Bohol Island State University (BISU) paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Consulate General in the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) on April 25, 2025. The primary objective of the meeting was to present and discuss BISU’s proposed initiatives for forging educational partnerships with institutions in Macau SAR.

Two civil engineering graduates from Bohol Island State University – Main Campus aced the recent Civil Engineers Licensure Examinations last April 2025. Engr. Irah Angellie B. Doroy secured the 8th place with a rating of 91.55%, while Engr. Kevin Jeade R. Campeceño earned the 9th place with a rating of 91.30%.
