In 2026, Bohol Island State University (BISU) participated for the first time in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, marking an important step in the University’s continuing commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and global benchmarking. The 2026 edition included 2,016 universities from 110 countries, making it the largest edition of the ranking to date.

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VII (CHEDRO VII) participated in the Internationalization Congress 2026, held on September 25, 2026, in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, bringing together higher education institutions (HEIs) across the province to strengthen internationalization initiatives in Central Visayas.

Congratulations to our new Psychometrician Licensure Exam Topnotchers! Three of them ranked in the Top 8 and one in the Top 9–all from the BISU Main Campus. The proud Bisuans are Ms. Hannah Marie F. Golosino (92.80%), Jan Vinch M. Ingking (92.80%), and Philip Jun H. Tanasas (92.80%), who collectively ranked 8th in the Psychometrician Licensure Examination, while Ms. Roxanne Jen B. Cajes (92.60%) secured the 9th spot.

Bohol Island State University proudly secures the 322nd spot in the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities 2026 by the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) – a significant leap from its 398th rank in 2025.

BISU proudly ranked 5th among top-performing schools with a 74.63% national percentage—50 out of 67 takers passed in the March 2026 Licensure Examination.
