The 49th Commencement Exercises of Bohol Island State University Candijay Campus (BISU Candijay) held yesterday, June 10, at the Candijay Cultural Center in the municipality of Candijay, province of Bohol, witnessed perseverance manifest. The graduates were all smiles, ready to hold their hard-earned diplomas as proof of their commitment to lifelong education.

Three hundred and ninety-two hopefuls embraced a new world today, June 9, as they were officially confirmed as graduates during the 73rd Commencement Exercises of Bohol Island State University Clarin Campus held at the Student Activity Center of BISU Clarin Campus, municipality of Clarin, Bohol.

Waves of #Kadaugan smiles emanate from the candidates for graduation of 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 (BISU Clarin) as they celebrate their academic victories and thanksgiving to their loved ones in the 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 held this morning, June 9, here at BISU Clarin Activity Center.

The College of Arts and Sciences of Bohol Island State University (BISU) Main Campus was represented by Mr. Mark Steven A. Pandan, MA Cand, at the NCCA–NCHR writeshop “History and Environment Across the Visayas,” held on May 19–21, 2025, at EVSU’s Graduate School Function Hall. Eight fellows from Visayas gathered to explore how national narratives and local histories can inform and enrich one another.

This is a historic move that signifies unity, purpose, and shared aspirations between Bohol Island State University (BISU) and Visayas State University (VSU). This partnership, formalized by Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, VSU President, and Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, BISU President, promises not just the exchange of knowledge and resources, but the weaving together of shared values, institutional strengths, and a common vision for education in the Philippines.

“From Vision to Reality: Two Years of Transforming Medical Education and Healthcare.” These words were the theme of the star-studded sophomore year celebration of the Bohol Island State University School of Medicine (SOM) last May 26, 2025, at the SOM building at BISU Main Campus, in Tagbilaran City.

The Executive Staff House at BISU Bingag Campus in Dauis, Bohol, was officially turned over in a momentous ceremony on May 21, 2025. The event was graced by University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, along with Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Arceli M. Hernando, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Zina D. Sayson, BISU Main Campus Director Dr. Samuel J. Gulayan, esteemed system officials, and distinguished guests.

BILAR, BOHOL — Bohol Island State University (BISU) Bilar Campus conducted the turnover and blessing ceremony for its newly completed Student Services Center, along with several other facilities on May 13, 2025. The activity opened with a Holy Mass at 9:00 AM at the school gymnasium, attended by university officials, faculty, staff, and students.

The workshop shifted to hands‑on test‑item analysis. Resource persons demonstrated systematic checks for validity, discrimination, and reliability. Participants examined question stems, distractors, and scoring guides with the guidance of Dr. Reston. Team representatives also presented their work examples of doing item analysis, either manually or aided by software.

The Bohol Island State University (BISU), in its effort at promoting innovation and social enterprise in partnership with Bohol Dairy Cooperative, launched the moringa waffle ice cream cone in a fitting ceremony on April 4, 2025 at the Island City Mall Activity Center, Tagbilaran City.
