In a celebration ablaze with color, pride, and unity, all six campuses of Bohol Island State University (BISU) converged this week for the highly anticipated Paugnat ug Pasundayag 2025. The host, BISU Balilihan Campus, warmly welcomed the delegates from November 12–14 for the university’s premier athletic and cultural gathering.

Philosophizing the Filipino Soul: USAPP Summit Champions Identity, Ethics, and Cultural Reflection

Hosted by Bohol Island State University, the 4th USAPP Summit gathered over 90 scholars, educators, and students at the Metro Centre Hotel, Tagbilaran City, from June 6–8, 2025, to explore Filipino philosophy rooted in identity, ethics, and cultural memory. A key highlight was the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between BISU and the Philosophical Association of the Visayas and Mindanao, strengthening collaboration in regional philosophical research.

Beyond the Diploma: BISU Balilihan Graduates Charged with “KADAUGAN”

One of the highlights of the afternoon was the Commencement Address delivered by Hon. Esther Patricia V. Chatto, Mayor-Elect of Balilihan. Her speech resonated deeply with both graduates and parents, as she spoke about resilience, leadership, and giving back to the community.
