Ms. Thea Claire M. Tagupa, cum laude graduate of BSEd-Math, commends the rest of BISU Clarin’s graduating class of 2025 for their resilience, them being all part of a generation that grew up surviving natural calamities and a global pandemic, from 2009’s Ondoy Typhoon, to the 2013 Bohol Earthquake, the COVID-19 pandemic, and 2021’s Odette.

BISU CBM Faculty Shines at 4th NORSU Business Research Conference

𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 from the Bohol Island State University Main Campus (BISU MC) presented their papers in the 4th Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) CBA Business Research Conference held last May 31, at the NORSU Main Campus, Dumaguete City.
This year’s research conference is themed, “The Future of Business: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Opportunities,”.

BISU MC CAS Faculty is Fellow for 2025 NCCA-NCHR Local History Writeshop

The College of Arts and Sciences of Bohol Island State University (BISU) Main Campus was represented by Mr. Mark Steven A. Pandan, MA Cand, at the NCCA–NCHR writeshop “History and Environment Across the Visayas,” held on May 19–21, 2025, at EVSU’s Graduate School Function Hall. Eight fellows from Visayas gathered to explore how national narratives and local histories can inform and enrich one another.

This is a historic move that signifies unity, purpose, and shared aspirations between Bohol Island State University (BISU) and Visayas State University (VSU). This partnership, formalized by Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, VSU President, and Dr. Anthony M. BISU-CAS Strengthens Ethical and Innovative Research at CSSPEX Held at UP Diliman

The College of Arts and Sciences of Bohol Island State University (BISU) Main Campus proudly participated in the CSSPEX 2025: Extramural Training Seminar for Social Science Teachers, held from April 24 to 26, 2025, at the Pilar Herrera Hall, Palma Hall, UP Diliman. Representing the university were College Dean Dr. Bernabe M. Mijares, Jr., along with faculty members Mr. Erven M. Noval and Mr. Michael O. Orimaco.

Executive Staff House Officially Turned Over at BISU Bingag Campus

The Executive Staff House at BISU Bingag Campus in Dauis, Bohol, was officially turned over in a momentous ceremony on May 21, 2025. The event was graced by University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, along with Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Arceli M. Hernando, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Zina D. Sayson, BISU Main Campus Director Dr. Samuel J. Gulayan, esteemed system officials, and distinguished guests.
