Integrity, Humility, Family: Keepsakes for 2025 BISU Calape Grads

A heartfelt talk on integrity, humility, and family was the message of this year’s Recognition Rites and Tribute to Parents of BISU Calape.

“You are responsible to carry on your good name,” says recognition speaker Dr. Milabel Enriquez-Ho, RN, the executive director of the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc.

Prior to her stint as executive director of AACCUP, Inc., Dr. Enriquez-Ho was a two-term university president of Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City, from 2012 to 2020. Last March, she became the newly elected president of ASEAN Quality Assurance Network, a leading international organization that promotes quality assurance practices in the ASEAN region.

The guest speaker reminded the upcoming graduates that upon achieving their dreams in their chosen paths, they must always look back at their families and loved ones who have helped them succeed. “When you get there, don’t forget that when you get down, it will always be the same people who have brought you up,” the guest speaker shared.

She ended her speech by leaving the candidates five key reminders: to know themselves better, to love their parents and families, to not forget to return or give back to BISU, to be the professional that they have prepared for, and to be proud Filipinos wherever they go.
