BISU Bilar Holds Turnover and Blessing of New Student Services Center, Other Key Facilities

BILAR, BOHOL — Bohol Island State University (BISU) Bilar Campus conducted the turnover and blessing ceremony for its newly completed Student Services Center, along with several other facilities on May 13, 2025. The activity opened with a Holy Mass at 9:00 AM at the school gymnasium, attended by university officials, faculty, staff, and students.

Following the Mass, a series of blessings took place for the newly installed LED Wall, the FTC Building, the Hostel, the College of Business and Management (CBM) Extension Room/Office, and the CD’s Cottage. The program continued at 10:30 AM with a short turnover ceremony of the Student Services Center. Engr. Imelida G. Torrefranca gave the welcome message, followed by remarks from Campus Director Dr. Proceso M. Castil and University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso. A representative from the contractor turned over the facility, which was formally accepted by Dr. Penaso. The event included a ribbon-cutting, building blessing, and guided tour. The newly established Student Services Center is designed to centralize and enhance student affairs and support functions. The event concluded with a shared lunch among the BISU community, hosted by emcee Harrah Mae Ancog, marking a milestone in the campus’s ongoing mission to serve its students better.
