Internationalization Congress 2026 in Bohol

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VII (CHEDRO VII) participated in the Internationalization Congress 2026, held on September 25, 2026, in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, bringing together higher education institutions (HEIs) across the province to strengthen internationalization initiatives in Central Visayas.

Representing CHEDRO VII were Dr. Johnny J. Yao Jr., Supervising Education Program Specialist, and Ms. Ma. Andrea Dane A. Oroc, TNHE Regional Coordinator. The Congress was co-organized by CHEDRO VII, the Association of International Relations Officers (AIRO) Region VII, Bohol Island State University (BISU), and Tagbilaran City College (TCC).

The event gathered more than 120 representatives from various HEIs in Bohol, including Tagbilaran City College, Inabanga College of Arts and Sciences, Ubay Community College, Colegio de Getafe, Buenavista Community College, Talibon Polytechnic College, Trinidad Municipal College, Colegio de Loboc, Carmen Municipal College, Danao Technological College, Bohol Island State University, Holy Name University, and Bohol Wisdom School.

The Congress served as a platform for HEIs to exchange knowledge and experiences, strengthen institutional linkages, and explore opportunities for advancing internationalization in higher education. Discussions highlighted the importance of global academic engagement, international partnerships, faculty and student mobility, collaborative research, and participation in international higher education initiatives and rankings.
