“You are the present, and you are shaping the now,” says Congressman-elect Brian Poe Llamanzares of FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist and the commencement speaker for the second day of the 2025 graduation. He encouraged the graduates to “[make] the most of the gift you have been given, with your education, in the career that you choose, in the family that you belong to.”
After the words of support from the representatives of Congressman Edgar Chatto and Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap, Balilihan Mayor-elect Atty. Trisha Chatto and City Administrator Cathelyn Torremocha, the graduates then marched towards the stage to receive their diplomas and certificates.
Riezel Mae Rama, magna cum laude graduate of BS Office Administration, extended her gratitude to the university, the parents and loved ones, and friends for their academic journey. Dr. Penaso then delivered his final President’s Charge to the graduates of the Class of 2025, who were inducted into the alumni association. Alliah M. The graduates, now ready for the future, sang the BISU Hymn one last time, as they treasured their friendships and love of family beneath the colors of the confetti.
