BISU Candijay Honors 2025 Awardees and Families in Heartfelt Recognition Rites

In the continuation of the 2025 Graduation Season of Bohol Island State University, the candidates for graduation belonging to BISU Candijay’s Class of 2025 took center stage today, June 10, at the Candijay Gymnasium, municipality of Candijay, province of Bohol.

The rites began with the deans of the School of Advanced Studies, College of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, College of Teacher Education, College of Business Management, and College of Sciences of BISU Candijay campus presenting their candidates for recognition to the campus director.

After the recognition, Campus Director Dr. Luzminda Machete led the conferment of loyalty, outstanding academic performance, and co-curricular awards to select top-performing graduates who made their mark in their respective academic endeavors.

Singing to the classic hit “MAPA” of P-pop group SB19, the candidates embraced their families, a beautiful scene made more colorful with the array of garlands and flowers offered to loved ones. A heartwarming testimony was given by parent Eulogio L. Corsiga on behalf of all parents and families.

“This is your victory. Relish this moment, this moment of education and of life,” says Mr. Richard E. Castrodes, a BS Computer Science graduate of BISU Candijay, this year’s recognition speaker.

Castrodes, a former BISU student government federation president and former member of the BISU Board of Regents, is now a seasoned software engineering expert serving companies abroad. He then acknowledged the massive contribution of BISU Candijay to his personal and professional growth.

After sharing their gratitude to their families for the years of love, and support to their academic journeys, the candidates now gear up for their final march as students of BISU Candijay.
