The IPOPHL (Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines), in collaboration with Innovation and Technology Support Offices, proudly conferred the awards to ITSO members who have met the requirements under the ITSO 2.0 Clustering Scheme during the ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly on April 10, 2025 at Sequioa Hotel Manila Bay, Parañaque City.

This year’s Presidents’ Summit is themed, “ ITSO Presidents’ Summit 2025 : Empowering ITSOs towards Global Recognition of Innovation Breakthroughs.” This event highlighted the network’s collective accomplishments, particularly its growing international recognition.

Bohol Island State University is proudly recognized as 2024 PLATINUM AWARDEE and with two Special Citation Awards for both Patent Application and Industrial Design Application. University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso received the awards with BISU’s Innovation and Technology Support Office.

The Platinum Award and the two Special Citation Awards were presented by Director General Atty. Brigitte M. de Costa- Villaluz to Bohol Island State University, in recognition of its diligent efforts in intellectual property protection. In addition, BISU has successfully fulfilled the requirements by filing at least 10 patent applications and at least 25 industrial design applications, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and securing its intellectual assets.
