Bohol Island State University is 2023 RME 1st Top Performing School

It’s another golden harvest for Bohol Island State University (BISU) with the release of the latest results of the Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination held in September. BISU has produced another 56 new Registered Master Electricians (RME) out of 68 BISU examinees. This brings the school’s passing percentage to 82.35%, as compared to the national passing percentage of 53.68%.

Three of the passers are also among the topnotchers of the said examination, namely Mark Jay Butron (9th place), Mark Darel Saligumba (9th place), and Janry Miles Hamili (10th place).

In addition to this feat, BISU has also produced 18 new Registered Electrical Engineers (REE), garnering a school passing percentage of 43.90%, as against the national passing percentage of 30.87%. 

The licensure examination was given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Zamboanga, Tuguegarao, Tacloban, Rosales, Pampanga, Palawan, Pagadian, Oriental Mindoro, Lucena, Legazpi, Koronadal, Iloilo, Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, Baguio, and the NCR.

BISU’s outstanding performance can be attributed to its unwavering commitment to providing quality education in the field of Electrical Technology and Engineering, as well as to the dedication of its faculty and students to achieving academic excellence.
