Bohol Island State University (BISU) proudly bagged a 100% passing percentage across all campuses with first-time elementary LEPT takers in the recently announced results of the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT).
Moreover, the University’s performance was consistently high with retaker passing percentage accounted. BISU proudly performs above national passing percentage in the elementary level for all five campuses offering Bachelor in Elementary Education. In particular, the Main Campus had a 100% passing rate in the elementary level, followed by Calape Campus (94.12%), Clarin Campus (93.55%), Bilar Campus (92.86%), and Candijay Campus (58.33%). For the secondary level on the other hand, the Main Campus had an overall passing rate of 71.57%, followed by Bilar Campus (70.97%), Calape Campus (63.64%), Candijay Campus (48.68%) and Clarin Campus (46.34%).
The licensure examination was given last October 2, 2022 in 34 testing centers in the Philippines including Bangkok, Thailand. The national passing percentage for elementary teachers was 54.43%, while for secondary teachers, the passing percentage was 50.94%. The results were out fifty-six (56) days after the exam.
